Nursery

In term 1 the children will be working on developing  independence skills and mastering daily routines such as putting their school bags in cubbies and lining up nicely. Helping children to do everyday tasks independently will help to boost their self confidence. These tasks are encouraged to be done independently at home too.

In addition to this they will be listening to lots of different stories, poems, rhymes and songs. All of which will them to verbally form correct sentences and use good diction. We hope that listening to and engaging in stories will ignite a love of books and future reading. 

This Autumn term we are exploring and discovering exotic animals for our topic work. One of the stories we will explore is ‘Monkey Puzzle’ and there will be lots of sensory and creative art work throughout the year.

We will be exploring numbers through the topic work and fun activity based learning.
